Alumni Library Privileges

Bethel College Library welcomes Alumni of Bethel College to use the Library and its resources.

Library Card
A Bethel College Library Card may be obtained by filling out an Alumni Registration Form at the Circulation Desk in the Library. The Circulation department then issues the card as soon as the graduation date is verified through the University's central registration. The card allows alumni to check out books and audiovisual materials.

Books and AV
To determine what titles the Library holds, use the Bethel College library catalog. Alumni may check out up to two books at a time for 2 weeks, with one renewal using a valid Bethel College Library card. AV materials may be included.

Fines
Overdue books are charged to your account in accordance with the policy stated in the library handbook.

Database Access
Currently, the Alumni have access to the same databases as students, when access is acquired through a computer in the Bethel College library. Please visit the Bethel College website for other options of electronic resources. In addition, please remember these options:

American public libraries offer access to selected databases and the Internet, usually requiring only a valid library card to the respective library, and a valid driver's license.

Through professional memberships and organizations in one's field of work, vendors often offer reduced rates for individuals who are members of the professional organization.
