Philosophy of Ministry
It is the desire of Bethel College for each student to experience both the spirit of Bethel Temple Church and the academic training of the school. Bethel College and Bethel Temple, together, are able to prepare students with both correct theology and ministry experience to impact the entire world.

Bethel College also demonstrates the biblical model of the five-fold ministry spoken of by Paul to the Ephesians. This ministry model prepares and equips the Body of Christ for ministry by promoting both the gifts of the evangelist and pastor along with the apostle and prophet (Ephesians 4:11-12). Students prepare for ministry as they receive anointed teaching from five-fold ministry leaders in the classroom and from the ministry context of a dynamic local church.

Bethel College Strategy
To fulfill our mission, our three-fold strategy is:

  1. To equip individuals to minister more effectively in local church ministry. Students minister in the local church's ministries and outreaches including home-group programs, local evangelism, Christian education, and leadership training programs.

  2. To equip individuals for cross-cultural ministry. Students serve overseas, to train and equip national leaders to effectively minister to their own people. Bethel College desires to see students minister overseas through the international ministry of Bethel Temple, other churches, or through Bethel College's network of partnering missions ministries.

  3. To equip individuals entering full-time credentialed ministry.

  4. Students who have the calling to full-time ministry can educationally prepare to pursue ministerial credentials through their Bethel College course of study.
